Career History

Manager of Globe Scaffolding now operates from Cambridge and London depots. I act as the regional manager for the company and manage both Cambridge and London depots activities. With six managers reporting to me on a daily basis who themselves have foremen reporting to them who control the daily activities of the company. Responsibility for the design and technical guidance for all divisions keeping up to date with the latest NASC guidance and ensuring it is passed through the company. Undertake all estimating for the major projects including costing, design and negotiations. Develop the companies IT system and App and implement the company’s management system throughout the depots and divisions. Sales and marketing of the company through existing relationships and creating new opportunities.

Focal point for liaison with clients, timely delivery of jobs & project management from a financial perspective. Developed Health and Safety protocols and introduced training for all staff. Currently developing an IT system & application to enable a step-change in the company’s Project Management strategies.

Career History

Started out as a laborer from school with Tanner and Hall Scaffolding and worked my up to an advanced scaffolder by the age of 25. I stayed on the tools until I reached the age of 33, I then became a trainee supervisor/estimator with the company, a roll I stayed in until around 2006. I joined the roofing department then with Tanner and Hall as Rep/assistant manager in the stores thereafter.

By 2012 it was time for a change so I got back in to Scaffolding as a supervisor/Contracts manager and have been with Globe since early 2014.

Career History

Been in and around the Construction Industry for over 25 years (roofing and cladding, buying materials and infrastructure, fleet management, stores management) and a founder member of Red Safety Netting in 2005, responsible for the efficient, profitable and development of a busy safety netting company from project inception through to final invoice (and everything in-between) also ensuring smooth integration and cohesion with Globe Scaffold, sharing resources, development, thoughts and processes.
